either throttle body or it's your idle control valve, mine will periodically stall if i'm in neutral just sittin in a parking lot for like 10 minutes.

I had the same problem with 96 A4 2.8, "Drive on highway finethen , stalls on exit ramps". I had a buddy scan engine code and was P1504 "Manf. cntrl veh. spd Idle speed control Auxillary inputs". This gave me a place to start. I removed the intake manifold, striped it all apart and did a good cleaning, it was dirtier than I expected. Dirtlooks like black carbon and also notice white substance coming from the PCV hose. I went futher and open valve cover. It was messy "white creamy substance" which means I need to replace the cylinder head gasket. Coolant is mixing with engine oil. I didn't have the timeto replacehead gasket but, willdo in a month. ***Cleaning the intake manifold, throttle body, idle speed control and PCV hose made the car run smooth without stalls. I still have to address coolant leak which also cause the white substance to end up in the throttle body. I did all these within 3 hrs.Cleaning took the longest. Having air tools helped allot with the speed.
