Here are some pics of mine with the top being the most recent and my sig pic being the oldest. 18" RS4 DTMs on Koni coilovers, can't remember at the moment what the distance from the ground to top of the wheel well is.

seems like i can see the metal piece where you would mount the lower belly pan on that first pic.

I never noticed it before, but I think you're right! Last winter my skid plate came loose due to driving in the snow, and I had it removed without replacing it.

Munzter that's exactly what that is. Mine tore off this winter backing out of my driveway in a foot of snow. It didn't come loose until I was doing 75 on the highway... the ex noticed a strange noise so we pulled over and I looked under the car to see it dangling by one attach point. Lovely!

I cracked my old one in the snow. Woops. It's still mostly in one piece. I was thinking about riveting some aluminum or steel sheet to help keep it in one piece and give it more durability.
