MaybeI jumped the gun a little on confirming....

Is there anyone on here with stock Cats w the Magnaflow muffler combination?

I mean im guessing, but i think if you have stock Cats your not getting the bZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

If someone can confirm this, thenits almost worth it to pay the price for stock ones.

Yea those are so expensive though I'm gonna see what it sounds like when I put the new muffler on it. Either way i still love the sound minus the rattle.

If you have stock cats and the magnaglow setup....

Now it makes me think more back to the reso/magnaflow muffler...

hmmm I wonder if the reso is removedif the Bees fly away?

I really want to get to the cause of this sound because I cant stand the BZZZZZZZ

I have stock cats but an after market resinator. My sound is coming from the cats but I think I have a small exaust leak. I am thinking of getting some aftermarket cats/high flow cats. Any thoughts on that?

Well all i can say is i know for a fact that my bzzzzzing noise is coming from my magnaflow high flow cats.........

I wish that i left my stock ones on the car. But with that said if your cats go bad then the price difference between OEM and aftermarket is a huge difference.

The thing that pisses me off is my cats were not bad and i switched them out and the guy who cut them off could not find them when i requested them back.

wait. does this buzz only happen around the 2-3K range when you floor it and is it gone when you're barely on the throttle? i have the same exact problem and i was told it was the vibrations occuring before the muffler. not the cats or resonator.

my setup: 2.5 piping from cats to muffler. resonator removed as well.

OK so i have a busted downpipe on my 99 B5 2.8 30V and am considering replacing the stock downpipe cats and flex with custom. The plan is to use Magnaflow 53005 cats which are 2.25" and tie into stock exhaust. Anybody had experience with this type of setup and if so what kind of price range are we talking?

You've probably got a mad standing wave because nobody bothers tuning exhausts anymore.
