massive oil leak 1.8T

Default massive oil leak 1.8T

ok new issue lol they seem to all happen at once

well this 1 has put the car out of comisson for now

i have a oil leak on my car appears to be on the driver side of the engine about midway up im not sure what would be in that area to case the massive leak i can see. Just got it towed to my dads house and im about to take or torch out and have a look but if some1 has a idea whats in the area let me know

What year is the car? It sounds like it could be the oil feed line that connects to the block. The oil comes out under the 3rd cylinder (3rd from the front).

its a 99

what is the line made out of rubber and metal pressfitting or is it all metal

Im not sure on the AEBs, but i know the newer cars are large banjo bolts with stainless lines. Even the stainless has a rubber core to it, the SS is just to prevent heat eating the line and stop flexing.

ok quick update in the area under the intake manifold there is a plastic black tube decently thick in diameter but thin plastic

well its cracked basicly in half and it looks like it connecrts further down onto the block then heads further to the back of the engine

the tube is about cylinder 3 from the front doess any one have a scan of a exploded veiw of it im not sure what this is called

you have a broken dipstick housing. Not sure if yours is, but again, the newer ones are orange

mines orange but the tube that is broken is black ill try and get a picture not sure how well itll come out

Ok, that help greatly. You broke part of your pcv system. You need to head over to ecstuning.com and locate the part you need to replace it. You can either order it from them or head to the dealer if you need it now.

ahhh awesome mate the bottome of it looks sorta like the ratiator hose clips were u press them in and it locks it
