Master Cylinder install...Need help
Ok, This master cylinder install has been a real pain. I cant seem to get the hard line that goes through the firewall to sit all the way into the new master cylinder. I really dont want to remove the ECU or brake booster to get to the part, but I cant get the thing to line up and slide in correctly. (I'm talking about the hard line that goes from the master to the slave)
Does anyone have a picture of what that line looks like installed? I'm trying to figure out how far I need to go. It seems that there is a compression fitting on the line that should go into the master cylinder, but I cant get it in there yet.
This is what I'm talking about (image taken from a different forum):

I just cant seem to get the tube into the master cylinder far enough for that compression fitting part to go in...so the clip wont hold the line in place. Is it possible that the compression fitting has moved????
I'm trying to get this part:

Into this part: (Where the white cap is)

I had mine halfway in, and bolted from the inside...use something for leverage onto the metal pipe, and force it in.
At first i was afraid to break something...but no, nothing broke....it eased over the little collar on the metal hose sothat the clip could be installed to hold it in place.

This is a case of "force is not a crime"...
