Mechanics in CT
Can anybody suggest an honest, decent mechanic that can do some work on my car? (Control arms, paint, 02 sensor) Anything in Fairfield County (Stamford/Norwalk area) if anybody has experience good or bad it would be a big help.
I hate asking here, but I really have no time to DIY. I work full time in NYC and need to get these things fixed ASAP.

I'd check out European Car Service in Westport:

They can definitely do the mechanical/electrical work, but might recommend another place for paint.

Fairfield County Motorsport has a good rep. They are in back of the Starbucks in Farifield off the Post Road byt the train station. They specialize in Porsche, but IIRC, they do Audi/VW service too.
FarnbacherLoles in Danbury has, well, a not-so-great rep, but they have a newer shop in Danbury by the DMV specifically for Audi/VW service. I briefly worked with one of the techs when he was with Danbury VW. He was pretty sharp.
As far as dealers go, suprisingly the best service I've found is at Danbury Audi. Reasonably priced and the advisors are sharp and involved. They have a really good team of techs over there. I worked for the dealer as a Porsche tech (which I quit very recently to pursue other business) and worked for Audi and VW when we ran out of Porsches. That's where I'll be taking my Audi for alignments, tires, and VAGcom required stuff. It sucks not being able to do all the work on my own car after being in the business for over 4 years. BTW, I think they have an AWE account too, so you may be able to sneak some upgrades.
Fairfield Audi is actually pretty good too. It's been a while since I worked there at the Porsche dealer, but I remember their team leaders were a bit disgruntled (it's Penske), but very on-the-ball.
I'd probably go with Danbury Audi as a best bet.

you've replaced control arms, so that makes you a good mechanic in CT...?!?!
blue2.8a4: Danbury Porsche/Audi/VW just recently sold it's body shop in Danbury Volvo, but they were an excellent bodyshop and I believe that crew is still there. Body work can be a biatch, but that bodyshop seemed to actually care about your car.

Tweaked, you have no idea how many different types of cars I've worked on, engine builds and swaps, timing belts, tune-ups, cooling systems, brakes, control arms, shocks/struts/coilovers, exhausts, etc I have done. And I'm in Ct. As a matter of fact, I think I remember passing your slow A4 on the Meritt Pkwy one time.
