Default Minimum rotor thickness

Hey what are the minimum specs for stock rotor thickenss front and back?

I'm getting a brake and light safety inspection and he said they will measure for minimum thickness.
Thanks!

Thicknesses are cast into the disks themselves

over the zimmerman?

How about Meyle (good quality) and free shipping at much cheaper?
MJM Autohaus

And for rear I'd go with these ATE (OEM brand), for a few $$$ cheaper and again free shipping:

thanks for the suggestion.
I'm happy with it as long as it's quality.

Zimmerman is OEM and are the best OEM replacement rotors you can buy, I wouldn't go with anything else unless I was looking for a 2-piece setup. Meyle is ehh, I don't know a thing about their rotors but many of their parts aren't much better than no-name stuff. It all depends on how long you plan on keeping the car, if it's only for a year or 2 I wouldn't hesitate on buying cheaper rotors, but longer and I'd recommend spending the extra for Zimmerman.

I've been running Meyle A8 rotors on my A4 for more than 3 years now, with the same Hawk HPS pads (pads still have > 70% life left) and have never needed to turn the rotors. In fact I just moved the same rotors to my newer B5 A4 with new pads and still didn't turn the rotors, and the brakes feel great.

To each their own, of course, but I trust Meyle rotors. And I use their parts for lots of other parts... engine/tranny mounts, coolant tank, acc./AC belt tensioners, strut mounts, etc.

She is getting inspected right now.
Pft.
I've put 40k miles on her since the accident and she is solid as a rock. I measured the rotors and they are good, pads are thick.

Nothing wrong with her.
About another 30 min left

Wow. Dammit. Ok I didn't see this coming.

Says a lug bolt was stripped and locked into the hub, can't remove wheel.

Rotors are 0.5 mm below spec so they have to be replaced to pass. And I have to have this done today.

He told me that the bolt will hve to be brokeN and a new hub installed.

He doesn't have a new hub at the shop. So I'm getting the front rotors replaced and driving home with 4 lug bolts.

But I get my certificate, and my car registered today.

I drive soft, really.
I will get the hub replaced asap, but I have DMV to go to today and traffic court on MOnday.
