Default Misfire on Cylinder 6

I am reading codes on my A4 as it started a very odd bucking. I show a misfire in clyinder 6 as well as injector malfunction in cylinder 6. I assume that the injector is the cause of the misfire and is either not stuck open or closed. I am trying to figure out which clynider is counted as #6 in the 12V2.8l v6, anyone able to provide that info?

I think is the rear driver side cylinder, but I would wait for someone to confirm that. Afterall, I have the 1.8T

Also, we, the collective membership of AF, demand pics of the '69 Spitfire! Okay, maybe just me, but still...

thanks for the input on location, I am going to try and look at it more tonight. Hopefully I can get a good look then. It would be nice to get this taken care of in the next week, My inlaws are out of town so I can steal one of their cars for the week.

As for the spit I actually don't have any pictures right now. My computer f'd up awhile ago and I lost the only pictures I had and since then the car has been in storage in a deep dark corner of my garage. Once it is nice again and I can get her out and fix the rear brakes I will take some pictures. She is just your typical cherry red with black interior and a shitty white top.

My car had the same codes come up but with cylinder 5 misfiring instead. I checked the plugs then swapped out injectors and at the end of the day all it was in need of was an injector flush . $50 at my local mech shop and it purrs like a kitten again. Hope thats the same in your case. Good luck

I decided to send out all 6 injectors from my car plus the 1 extra I just bought used for testing and cleaning then I will reinstall. Hopefully by the end of the week it will run like a dream

Well I jumped the gun and sent the 6 injectors before the new one came in. They were tested, broken down and cleaned then re-tested by Cruzin Performance. They didn't show any issues really so I am a little concerned. When I get them back in the next day or two I will reinstall and see where we go from there. If they work then maybe there was an issue the cleaning took care fo but couldn't be detected. If there is still an issue and I may be searching for a gremlin. Hope for the best.

Well no luck with the injector cleaning.

I got them installed today finally and still getting the P1206 code. I did the following with no luck.

Swapped the 6 and 4 plugs: still same code on cylinder 6;
Swapped 3 and 6 plug wires: still the same code on cylinder 6;

Any good ideas to try next?

The cylinder 6 plug with carbon coated when pulled but I assume that is just a result of this issue, not the cause since swapping the plug didn't eliminate the code.
