Miss fire cylinder 4 help.

Default Miss fire cylinder 4 help.

97 Audi a4 1.8t 5 speed

OK so i well get to the point my car stalls and feels like it hits rev cut/fuel cut at WOT on any gear no power wont build up speed , i get a flashing CEL when i leave it at WOT code is for miss fire cylinder 4 only i always get this code when this happens , my tps % load gets stuck at 77.6 when this happens and wont climb higher at times it well go 77.8 but thats about it. Car idles normal runs normal and ok as long as its not WOT.

other things check out spark plugs,coils,icm,maf,02's etc all work fine no vacuum leaks no boost leaks no exhaust leaks.

any input?

have a different throttle body you can try? but i dont really know why a bad tps would only throw misfire on cyl 4

that's what i was thinking as well i should have misfire on all cylinders if anything , another thing is when i removed my fpr the pressure inside the rail is really low really minor and it use to be stupid high before that gas would squirt out.

My fuel filter is new so that is rule out, for now am going to pull the fuel pump out and test some things ill let you know what happens.

well the fuel pump is not it i swap it with a working one and it still does it car jerks @ 4,230 rpms 56mph 304 code misfire cylinder 4 so idk, now to check that cam sensor or the crank and see what i see and get.

ok so i finally got codes but now am even more stuck..

p1196=electrical malfunction sensor heater bank 1
p1198=electrical malfunction sensor heater bank 1
p0134=02 sensor no activity bank 1
p1304=misfire cylinder 4

i had those codes before and car ran fine full power some baby misfires at idle nothing major but now the car runs horrible at WOT jerks like i reach rpm limiter happens usually at 4k rpm.

going to take the harness apart fk it.

sounds like your primary 02 is shot

the things that has me puzzle is that both 02's are brand new. 0_o tomorrow am taking the harness off i smell burn plastic by the harness gonna check it out.

id check the plug and make sure the pins arent bent or anything. you couldve messed it up when you put in the new sensor

nothing i checked all plugs, grounds,sockets,open on wires, all sensors and nothing is out of order everything checks out they all read, scanner says am running fine not lean not rich wtf is going on with this car it was working perfect 2 weeks ago. sigh... ill keep checking if i cant figure it out am just gonna swap something else on this car and sale the engine just for ***** and giggles.

OK guys i found something out! check it out the picture u see with the boost control valve i have # 1 on the turbo intake hose but i put # 2 on # 3 so basically flip them and now my car does not stall jerk shake etc no check engine light but the power is like weak like i got no turbo lol.

correct me if am wrong but #1 goes to turbo intel pipe #2 goes to compressor housing and #3 goes to waste gate correct? if so that's how i had it and car jerks like crazy at WOT and when i switch 2 and 3 the car wont jerk misfire or anything but i get no power at all. wtf? 0_o
