i never had driven one of those gti's but yesturday my friend let me drive his it was stock and was a 2001, idk why but that gti felt faster then my car anyone know why? if both car basically have the same power right 150 hp.

 

The fact that it is much lighter should have something to do with it

 

well yea that its alot lighter and you sure it wasnt the Vr6? not the 1.8?
that would be a huge difference too?

 

My brother's MkIV GTI 1.8T (2003) is MUCH faster feeling than my A4 1.8T. Then again it was 3 years newer than mine. I do think the turbo on my car is on the edge of death though.

 

yea it was a 1.8T it felt quicker lol any one has raced one??

 

yup i did....
smoked em...well with the mods i have, and my clutch was slipping a bit so yea launched on em by like a car and kept pulling on em...
he sounded moded too with an exhaust and bov but yea....

hey u got the forge splitter i was thinking of replacing my 007 for the splitter have u had any problems with it?? is it louder than a regulat DV??

nope no problems with the splitter...
007 is a really good DV though, so unless you really really want the pssht sound dont get it...
