Mpg?

Really the 2.8 30 valves should be averaging 26-28 mpg highway and the 1.8t's should be 31-33. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe thats pretty accurate.

More air in your tires will help out with mpg.. HAHA

Sounds about right to me man. But I'm not getting close. I must be running rich. I'll have to stop by VAST soon and do some data logging.

If you don't have enough your tire has more contact surface therefor more drag. So technically running wider tires then stock hurts mpg too.

Well ill put it this way. We have an RX-8 that had a flat tire and 3 of us could barely push it. Put a new tire on it pushes easy w/ 1 person.

ok sounds like it isn't that bad and most of my driving is my short trip too and from school. And i do let the car warm up as much as i can in the morning about 5-10 min avg. and i do have wider tires then stock. I just thought something wasn't right. and my a4 is a 99 2.8qm with 132,xxx miles on it.

Ya sounds pretty good for mixed driving.

I can get 400 miles to a tank in the winter if I do a lot of highway driving.
