16684- Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected

16687- Cylinder 3: Misfire Detected
P0303 - 35-00
My question is, does, 16684- Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
P0300 - 35-00, appear when its only 1 cylinder misfiring? like does this code appear when 1 is misfiring or does this code mean alll or more than 1 cylinder is misfiring?
The problem started this morning, it drove fine last night, woke up at 6am to move it so my brother can get to work, and while i was waiting for him to move his car, it started misfiring a bit. i counted, every 3 seconds. so I park it, went to go to work, and this time it sounded like a V8 with a lumpy cam. parked the car, came home from work, took out the spark plugs, they where all black (all 4 plugs), I cleaned them up, erased the code, and the car runs normaly. It just seems strange, as the plugs have less than 200kms on them, its got to be something else causing the misfires. not the coilpacks either.

Yeah you always get the random/multiple miss fault when you get a misfire no matter how many cyl's are missing. Change your plugs. ATW coil packs are almost fail proof. Last time I had a misfire the porceline insulator on the plug had a hairline crack in it and that was the cause. I think i over torqued them though. Maybe you did the same. Other than that it could be a bad maf but youd probably have a code with that, or a leaky head gasket... Very unlikely.
these plugs cost me 18 bucks each, damn, I always have used NGK BKR7E and change them every 10,000 kms, but the ones i purchased was told they will last 65,000kms,
the ones i purchased are NGK PFR6Q, I guess they are only good for 200 kms.
Never had a problem with the BKR7E.
