Since Doc Depalma has the comedy covered in this thread(LOL Doc), I'll add in a good ball joint puller kit. You won't use it all that often, but when you need it, it's worth the money.

 

i second having a good jack. i have the old harbor freight version of this jack Torin Professional Long Frame Jack — 2-Ton Capacity, Model# TR8026A | Jacks | Northern Tool + Equipment that i picked up for $170 on sale before they stopped selling it there. the 32" lift is amazing when you need it. its not quite as good as having a lift obviously, but its as close as i can get in my garage
