Ok, i don't knowwhy all you 1.8t drivers that said that you've driven a 2.8 say that it's slow. first off it is and i am f'ing dumb... thats the only conclusion i can come to.. second... i have a 1999 2.8L 30v V6 BONE STOCK!!!! no mods, at all!!i raced an s4 avant the other day and it's one of many cars that's beaten me so far! here are a list of the cars that i've lost to street racing...
1. 350z From what i could hear it was turboed, had an exhaust and a whole bunch of visual mods, n ways off the line, he spun out and i took the advantage, then we went up to 125mph untill i made a turn, cause i was 30 cars back
2. Neon Sxt, he had a blow off valve sim in his tailpipe so that means he had a turbo right?, and i really don't know what this kid had under his hood. it was a pretty fair race, but i won by a car length.
3. Roush mustang, ok didn't beat him but, i stayed on his *** the whole time, he never got further than two car lengths cause that is as far as the tow strap would let us get from each other
4. golf Gti- Vr6, It was pretty stock, i kicked his *** off the line, and later all i could see was two little lights in the distance cause he was parked outside his g/f's house
5. RX-8, he had a body kit, dunno what else, off the line, i kicked his *** but he got closer every time i shifted... lol damn rotary engine...cause the rx-8's are junk
6.New civic si, he didn't even stand a chance...he was parked
7.jetta 1.8t, i think it was a gli, from the rims, but couldn't tellit was debaged, he was pretty fast but he never passed me...cause he was pointing and laughing
8.s4 avant, he kicked my *** off the line, but i stayed on his tailuntill we got passed 130 mile marker, i got a ticket the night before... lol

sooo, here's to all yo idiots that think the 2.8 is slow. all i know is that my engine is probably one of the smothest running engines on a a4 that i test drove, when i was looking for cars...
