Absolutely. Stick it to 'em for all he's worth. NOBODY should be allowed to get away with drunk driving.

i would get another b5 with the 1.8t because i looked into replacement parts for them before i got mine and i found that to work on the 1.8t and replace parts is actually cheaper than the ever poplular honda civic with the 1.6t and this is because the 1.8t is set into at least 6 different audi and volkwagen models and it is a super reliable motor

I don't know where you live, but in CT minimum insurance money you should get is $20k! Even though you weren't hurt. Did you go to the hospital to get checked out anyway? That's always a good idea, but even for mental pain and loss of your car, you should be well rewarded. I was hit by someone one morning last year, (not drunk, just old) and their insurance paid for my totaled 2000 Jetta VR6, and B5 I just picked up yesterday! Good luck, glad to hear everything's okay, and your car took one for the team. Thank your car, it probably saved your life!

Good thing is your are OK. Same thing happened to me last month, not a drunk driver. Insurance paid out on my 97 2.8 so I bought 99 1.8 and I love it so far. hope you stay with us.
