Someone scratched my car deep too. They put a hortizonal U that is long and skinny and goes from the left side of the top of my trink lid to almost half of the lid. Kinda looks like the start of a poorly poorly drawn ***** (shaft only...so you get the picture) I am sure it would be pricey to fix, I haven't got an estimate yet.

sorry bout your car bro, but not to steal your shine or lack there of, i went to pick up my mom from the airport once in Fresno and i fell asleep in the lobby waiting for her since her flight got delayed from vegas. when she finally got there i carried her luggage to my trunk around the driver side of course... she then started to open the passenger door and said what the phuk did you do? and i said what do you mean? she then pointed at my car and i wanted to cry after what i say... my rear quarter panel tail light and tire were smashed in... I was phukn fuming when i actually finished changing my tire and sat in the seat then it hit me. I saw a little blue slip of paper under my windshield wiper it read GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIND ME
then i lost it. no cameras to film it and no one around to see it just the ****** white paint on my BLACK car. great way to start off 07', and thank god its over. that had to have been the worst year of my life

 

Sorry to hear about that man, you should most definitely get tints before something worse happens (knock on wood) and have you gotten into any arguments with someone lately so they'd do that?

 

Maybe you can get your insurance company to pay for "other than collision" for the scratched hood, after your deductible (hope it is $100) and work something out with the paint guy for the entire car - maybe you only pay half of the entire job out of pocket. Just a thought.
