Default My car never ceases to suprise me......

So I get into the car this morning and I look down as I enter. This is what is just lying there. What the hell is it? It has a VW Audi logo on it so I know it belongs in the car. I've searched the part number but haven't gotten a hit. The jackholes at Audi keep putting me on hold and then disconnecting me. I guess it's insignificant if they won't answer my question

picture seems of bad quality and you should put something next to it for size comparison but it kinda looks like a fuse puller

Thats the fuse puller that is normally attached to the inside of the fuse panel cover... you must have dislodged it while replacing a fuse at one time.

a fuse puller? really. huh....

Is there a place I can put it back? The wife is getting me a new Head Unit for the birthday so I guess while I'm in there, I'll look in the fuse panel.

fuse puller for sure. Pull the fuse panel cover off on the left side of the dash, on the cover there is a spot to hold the fuse puller.

this is funny because I have literally not pulled the cover off....ever.

Oh, well. That's one problem solved.

Don't feel too bad, they do that to me too. Once they find out I drive an old A4 that's not worth $50k they immediately lose interest. Must be company policy at the parts counters

it probably fell off inside, and eventually worked its way through the dash and fell out under the dash. It was on the drivers side floor, so seems possible.
