I agree with that - I only suggested the idle adjustment as a stopgap measure to get him through until the trouble spot could be isolated. If it read as if I meant it as a permanent fix, I should've clarified that.

i have no idea what your problem is but let me tell you a story. i had a grand am gt. it kept breaking. if it didnt effect its daily driveablity IMMEDIATELY i just let the problem go. eventually, it got so bad i wanted a new car. i was fixing the thing constantly. i decided to get a good job and make enough money to get a decent vehicle. i ended up with the audi i am driving now. the other week, i had a cel. guess what i did about it? I fixed it. didnt let it go or anything. just plain got work done. and now what? it works like a champ. sorry to preach but thats exactly how you end up with a pos car. it breaks and you dont fix it. i wasnt fortunate enough to have a car like my audi a few years ago, but now that i am, i want to take care of it properly or i might end up like a pos like my grand am. fix it when its broke, and something thats broke wont cause another thing to break

download irfanview and shrink it...

and believe me. when theres a little problem wrong with my car i fix it... i dont mean to offend you, but i dont need you giving me advice on how i should solve a problem with my car... and yes it does affect daily drivability... when ever i come to a stop, my car stalls i have to put it in neutral and start it then if i hit the gas it chokes rpms drop to like 150 then fly back up and my car jerks alot. and now when im idle my vac is around 4Hg!

edit: and yes the idle is still messed up even after i changed the idle speed, so im going to change that back to normal when i meet up with my friend to test for a boost leak

ok, some one else told me it might be a clogged fuel filter... could that be a possibility?
