Smile My latest addition to my garage, another A4!!

I purchased this A4 for $800. It runs but is low on power and smokes out the exhaust. I am not positive what is wrong with it yet, but I am digging in and hopefully will find out it is something simple It has 155,000 miles automatic trans. The wheels that are in the picture where unfortunately sold before I bought the car, it has the older style wheel like the silver A4 in my Sig. I just sold my Silver A4 a few days ago because I was low on cash, and luckily found this deal right away. I recently found somebody who is selling the stock projectors and I plan to purchase and install a.s.a.p.

My first thought was that its the head gasket too, and that is what I am hoping for. I will keep you updated. The engine is the 1.8T. I wish it had a manual transmission, but I will just have to wait and hopefully get a B6 with a turbo and manual trans.

More likely the turbo than a h.g. 155K miles on stock turbo means it's about that time.

+1 on the turbo being more likely than a head gasket. Nice find

what im not understanding is why would a turbo make the car blow out white smoke i mean the dude could of floored the hell out of that car but if its the factory turbo i would replace it anyways
