Why do you need a second car? The B5 is still decent to drive as daily right?

i'd get a B5 wagon with a 1.8t if you want a turbo. it looks better and you can get one for a similar price.

u find me a b5 avant or 3k or less then ill get it... but the odds of that happening are slim to none lol

and im looking for a second car just in case cuz i never seem to have any luck with cars, so i figure i buy a second car now while i have the money, once something happens (cuz something ALWAYS happens) ill be prepared until the b5 gets fixed or whatever again

Well if you want another car to get you around without breaking, a turbo volvo aint it.
You can pick up a civic hatch for around 3k, won't break (might get stolen though) and it will run forever.

+1. You could easily pick up a civic for 3k or less that you will have no problems with. Hell, you could probably **** in the gas tank if you found yourself stranded and that thing would still run ;P

Or an older Toyota if you want reliability.

Perhaps an older Jetta/Golf with the NA engine?
