Cool My tribute to all of you, audis superiorior engineering, and dedication to our cars!!

I felt the need to voice my thoughts... I have owned 4 cars in my life, my Audi and 3 flippidy, flappidy, constantly breaking, rusting and falling apart GM slush mobiles! This audi has been such a joy to own and work on, although some projects make you wonder what those crazy Germans were thinking however suffice it to say eventually you realize there is a very good reason for everything.

I have never been so dedicated to caring for and maintaining any car as much as I have my A6, Same goes for A4's of course Everyone in this forum has been so helpful in maintaing my baby which just crossed 200k miles w/ minimal problems...(knock on a big wood).

If its possible I would just like to take some time for all of us to discuss why we are so passionate about our machines in comparrison to most other people.

I dont know about all of you but before this car I barely understood what a timing belt, coil pack or torque converter even was!!! now 2 years later I am confident I'd be able to rebuild the engine if I had to, I know every component inside and out.

I know this thread is kinda deep and out of nowhere but lets face the truth, Dont forget why we are all together in this forum!

Thanks again everyone!!!!

Keep this thread going please!

That's also how they where almost over to take over the world, build rockets and eventually send us to the moon.

They also where ahead of us on the nuke, but a key invasion ended that.

The German engineering in Ingolstadt is better than the German engineering in Munich.

I think its cool that we can appreciate the little details we all put into our cars...from smoked side markers, OEM rims from another car, OEM body parts from other cars etc...Our cars have class. Our attention to details and wealth of knowledge of how our cars work separates us from other tuners and enthusiasts. If you see another clean Audi done well, you generally don't even need to meet the driver cause you already know what type of person they are. But you know a true Audi/VW lover will always stop and talk shop...

so true Joenelsen, I couldn't agree more with you. There is just something so prestigious about our cars, maybe its the history or heritage. I feel bad for anyone who cant appreciate them. for example last week I was at a bar and some guy asked me if my car was a volvo!! haha, then i said no and he then said what....is it a SAAB??? haha, it was kind of funny, some people just dont have the slightest clue what a quality car even is. The guy then said, "if i spent that much on a car I'd buy a Cadillac...." Id like to see his cadillac take a 90 degree turn at 60 mph or drive through a foot of snow like it wasnt even there.
