It scared me and the car bumped me but I wasn't in any real danger. To top things off yesterday I almost fell off the roof of my house when my ladder slid out from under me. Did get a new jack tho!

That sucks. Glad to hear you did not get hurt on either of those.

Did you get a stronger floor jack?

Hope you get your car back soon.

If you ever plan on trying to do the clutch yourself again make sure to get a 2nd floor jack, unless you have a trans jack too. That little jack you had wouldn't work all that great to lower and lift the transmission.

Been working on getting mine back in, but I only work on it about 30 minutes a day. Just put the brackets/mounts and bolted up the driveshaft/axles yesterday. Not in a hurry since I wont be picking up the gear oil till Tuesday, plus I had to buy the drain tool which UPS dropped off on Friday.

I had just got the new jack for the trans but the limited space next to the car is why I was using the small one. I wish you lived closer so I could have a ride with you!

So the car fell onto the jack that was placed under it from the front of the car?

I lift one side of my car the same way, but I use my large 3 ton jack from the front to lift one side after the other side is already up on a jack stand. This is because I am not able to get to the passenger side of the car since it is parked up against the wall.

No jackstand was under passenger side. I was in the progress of jacking up the driver side when one of the from jack wheels bent under causing the jack to tip over with the car on it.

Where is a good jack location on the B5? I've just been using my ramps lately.

Well SHES BAAACCCCKKKKK!!!! The shop called me and goes
"uhh you know this isn't a stock replacement right"
-Yeah I know-
"Its kinda like flipping a light switch and trying to change gears right as the light comes on"
-I start laughing-

When I got there, he wasn't kidding! The pedal is like stepping on a feather and you have an on off switch for a clutch! I stalled it 4 times on the way home! I was really surprised by how light the pedal is but it's definitely going to take me some time to get used to!

On a side note "Dozanti" a newer guy on here sold me his roof racks at a decent price and I <3 them! I plan on stripping the current stickers off and putting my own but not sure if I should sticker bomb it or not! What do you think?! I refuse to put stickers all over my car, Except when required ;-) but I have no problem sticker bombing the **** out of that!
