Default Need car stereo advice 2000 1.8t quattro

I need some advice for my next upgrade!

I'm looking to replace my symphony with a 2Din DVD head unit!

I need to know what wire adapter and harness to buy!
Also I need some recomendations on a low end 2Din DVD player!
I was looking at eonon, boss, stuff like that.
It needs to sound good and look good, I've had head units that have no quality sound at all (flat).

Also any recomendations on units under 400$

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm pretty sure a double DIN HU won't fit in our cars.

Yeah that's what I was trying to find out, I thought maybe since the symphony was so big.

I'll keep researching! Thanks for the info on timing kit from blauparts CCA4, you saved me a lot of money.

Thank You!

Now use your genious for my stereo!

You would have to do some cutting into your dash to fit a double DIN head unit.

I wish I had good pictures of all the different ones. But heres a pic of the 99.5 which is the same but the ash tray is higher and so the 00-01 lowered the ash tray and put a double din in.
