need help to identify which is the ect sensor and how to remove it..

use pliers pull the medal tab off than pull off

why does my ect sensor looks different from the other pic? mine is the one on the left

i took a picture of it, is this the right one or im pulling off the wrong one?

None of them those are electric connectors.
The sensor is, when you stand in front of the car, more on the left, behind the engine cover.

found it...thanks...but when i pulled it off coolant spilled all over, is that normal when changing the ect?

Well, you are supposed to, at least, open the coolant res cap to relieve pressure, and yes, it will spill because the coolant level is higher than the sensor's position. Top it up, and wash off the spill.

ok thanks.. i replaced it with a new one already and my temp gauge is now working, i have a quick question, after replacing the ect, i run the car to check if the temp is working finr but i noticed that my temp now goes on the half line? is it normal on audis? or do i need to put some more coolant on it? coz on other cars the normal is belaw the half line.
