need help
bought a 98 audi a4 Quattro 1.8t. for $700.00 the lady that I bought it from said that she over filled the oil and drove it then a oil line blew and she drove it with very low oil the engine did not sees up but destroyed the drive chain tensioner I have replaced it and it ran for a few min and engine died took off the valve cover no oil and the new part I put on the drive chain tensioner was destroyed again. I don't want to put the new tensioner on and have it destroyed again any idea why I have no oil flowing to the top of the motor when I had the car running the oil light was not on till I reved up the motor? any Ideas that can help me??

Thanks McGovs. I was going to pass on posting a reply in this thread because of that **** but since you took the time to translate I'll take the time to reply.
OP, $700 is a pretty damn good deal, engine problems or not. The fact that the cam chain tensioner(s) died and you saw no oil in the head when you took off the valve cover makes me think oil starvation. The oil pump pick up in the oil pan sucks oil out of the pan and feeds it up to the head where it lubricates the tensioner, cams, valve train, ect. I'd bet yours is clogged. How did the cam lobes look when you took the valve cover off?

WOW I ASK FOR SOME HELP AND I GET PISSED ON CAUSE OF GRAMMER THANKS McGovs2.7TB5 McGovs2.7TB5. SORRY IM NOT PERFECT. YOUR A LOT OF HELP.
ANYWAYS THEY LOOKED OK I GUESS.. I ALSO TOOK OFF THE TURBO AND IT TURNS BUT IT HAS JUST A LITTLE PLAY IN IT. SO HOW DO I GET IT UNCLOGGED? IM TEMPTED JUST TO PUT ANOTHER MOTOR IN IT IF ITS GOING TO COST ME JUST AS MUCH AS ANOTHER MOTOR WOULD.

Also when i took off the oil line to the turbo and tried to start the car there was no oil coming out of the line that connects to the turbo.. Also the tube that connects to the inner cooler thats attacted to the front bumper has oil in there.

You have three posts, take it easy. When you post replies with poor grammar, no punctuation, and in all caps, fewer people will answer them because they're hard to read.
What do you mean by "looked ok i guess"? Was there any noticeable wear on the cam lobes? Any metal in the valleys in the head?
A little bit of oil in the intercooler piping is normal because of the way your PCV system is set up. How much oil did you see?
There's an oil feed line and an oil return line that both connect to the turbo, which one did you disconnect?
All of what you just said reinforces my original diagnosis of oil starvation. Drop your oil pan and check the screen on the oil pickup.

I could have replied "search the ******* archives noob"
the cam lobes are good no metal. I took off both the oil feed line and the oil return line. In regards to the inner cooler line about a cup full of oil came out. what do I need to take off to get to the oil pan? do I need to take apart the front end of the car?
Pulling the oil pan is a pain in the dick. You'll have to drop the sub frame and support the motor with a brace, then you can pull the oil pan off and check the pickup. OR you could just pull the whole motor.
when I drove it a lot of white smoke came out the muffler then went away. let it idle for 5 min and no smoke came out at all. ok ill have to jack up the car and start taking it apart and check the screen like you said ill let you know what I find in there. I know that the plastic from the cam tensioner was every were. I cleaned out what I could. sorry if my grammar sucks
