Red face Need Help With Brakes. Price & Advice.

Hey Guys,

My brakes need to be done very soon. I need new Rotors, and Pads. This is the kit im looking at right now.

http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...kes&IL=a4combo

It gives me what i need with some better looking, preforming rotors, fluid and the cool option of steel brake lines. I dont want a complete $1500 overhaul of my brakes, so i think this is good.

1. Can anyone find a kit like this for me at a better price? Maby with slotted instead of drilled rotors?

2. Is this a quality kit? Sugestions?

3. I have herd that doing rotors and brakes are not that hard but brake lines suck to do and they can dangerous if not done Exactly correct. Should i go ahead with doing the brake lines myself? I have only assisted on brake jobs.

4. If having some one else do the lines is the better idea, can i install the rotors and pads myself and then have a shop do my brake lines for less of a labor fee?

thanks guys. i really want to make sure i get this right. after all...it is the brakes. lol

I actually just ordered EBC yellow stuff and EBC Blackdash slotted rotors from Import Replacement Parts

If you arent going to be autocrossing or going to track days then get Green Stuff.

The rotors are your choice but they have some pretty damn good prices so check it out

That kit is priced pretty fairly, but if you can piece it together for cheaper, I don't see any harm in that. I have Ebc green stuff pads and Zimmerman rotors and they are fine for street driving. A little dusty though.....

yeah i'd say go with the A8 kit. Imthedevil (the late upstateNYa4) has them and is in love with them; maybe he'll chime in here

Default A8 Kit.

I have the TT carriers with larger drilled, slotted rotors. I love it. I'm usually just street driving, but sometimes I like to be pretty agressive on the empty roads. Much better stopping power, and much better look also. And pretty cheap for an upgrade. So consider it. Much better than stock.
