Looking at installing a BOV in my 2001 Audi a4 and know its not good for the car and ect running lean to clogging your cat. But how would I go about installing one? Where to put it and ect.

I'm going to preface this post by saying this is a bad idea but if you wanna do it this is how:

It replaces the diverter valve on the charge pipe coming out of your turbo. You're also going to need a plug to block off the opening on the turbo inlet pipe where the DV recirculated back into the TIP. Something like this:

Ok thanks I was more curious than anything but a loud BOV would be awfully nice. But now how would I mount the BOV on that tube? Most seem like your wouldn't be able to

 

Just so you know its makes your car run rich not lean. It vents air to the atmosphere that was already accounted for by the ecu. Therefore the ecu dumps that much gas to match up with the air that should be there but isnt
