Hi guys,
I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro.I am considering to change my muffler (Right now its a turbine muffler) its too LOUD. I want to change it back to stock so i can just enjoy the ride. My question is how do i know if i need to change the whole exhaust piping or just the muffler? also if anyone have a stock muffler please tell me as i am looking for one right now

What kind of shape is the rest of the exhaust in? Check the flex pipe, catalytic converter, and resonator. If they're not rusted to pieces you can leave them alone. I would think you'd be able to find at least one guy who saved his OEM muffler, or you could try ECS and see what they've got.

Do you have aftermarket/custom piping? If so, you might want to replace them as you don't want "loud".

wow looks like a good setup you got!

just have an exhaust shop cut off your end muffler and get something else on there, or have them put a resonator in there somewhere.

Close as in no sound at all or you want something a little aggressive than stock?

If you want something a bit more than stock, go with Magnaflow. They're a little louder but not too obnoxiously loud.
