Need help. Will rear coil springs from a 98 fit a 96?

Default Need help. Will rear coil springs from a 98 fit a 96?

Bought a 1996 2.8quattro a few months back, it needed some work and is almost complete, just needs one more thing that i cant find. One of the read coil springs is broken and needs to be replaced. Cant find an exact replacement for the 1996, will spring coils from a 98 fit?

Anyone know?need this on the road asap and this is the last thing needed to pass inspection

yes it will fit as long as it came from another 2.8 or S4 that has the same drivetrain. no modification is needed

Are you guys sure a C5 spring will fit a C4? I've been asking that question for months with mixed answers....

oops forget about the A6. no the A6 spring will not fit. only A4 spring of the 2.8 and S4 springs will fit

yepp and if your quattro u gotta have the quattro spring cause of the weight differnce

well quattro is not because of the weight difference, the rear end on the FWD is a totally different setup.
