Default Need Some Ideas For Bang-For-Buck Mods

I have a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. When i bought it, it came with a cone filter, sport springs or shocks (not sure which, but the manufacturer of the springs/shocks started with an H) that lowered it a lil, s4 rims, and tinted windows. I recently did this - http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext41.shtml, and i fixed the wheel bearing that was going out. My CV Joints are getting worse, but they aren't totally shot yet, and my shock should get replaced, but currently, they are not mandatory to fix, so i feel safe to spend a few bucks on some cheap mods. I was thinking of buying a $25 lip spoiler and painting it/installing it myself, and i want to get a blow off valve, but i just read that they run poorly on A4's. However, i do want the noise that blow off valves make, so i was wondering if diverter valves make the same noise or if i should just stick with my stock DV? I LOVE working on my car, so i would prefer to install most things myself, although i am not super experienced. Anybody have any ideas of mods that would change the performance, sound, or looks of my car that would be worth spending less than $100-$150 on?

Thanks for any help!

I feel you on the limited budget man, not much money left over for toys after rent and bills and crap. +1 on the clear corners, i did that to mine and i like it a lot. Also did clear side markers, that looks great too IMO.

Beyond that, "cheap" is all relative lol. Since buying this car, I have been increasingly impressed with my ability to rationalize my way into buying stuff hahaha. Window tint is fairly cheap, especially if you can DIY. You have a lot more options with performance than I, so you're on your own on that one lol.

If thats the case, i wouldn't mess around with the clear corner DIY, its easy to screw it up if you don't take your time. I got some DEPO clear corners on ebay for like 20 or 30 bucks. but if you're feeling frisky, here's the DIY:

thats about all you could do with that amount of money, clear corners and the lip spoiler. you could also install a boost gauge with those 2 and stay in that price range.
