Neuspeed 1 Bar Chip
Just FYI. I have a 99.5 A4 quattro with Tiptronic. I installed a Neuspeed 1 bar chip (because it was only $199 ) and added a N75 H valve (replacing the C valve). I am peaking at 16.5 psi! (I am also using the Neuspeed 5 bar fpr as recommended.)

While that is good boost, Tiptronic plus quattro really robs power. Of course, it's not really fair to compare it with my '03 GTI with Revo (20 psi peak).

Yeah the Neuspeed 1bar is a good chip, especially for the money.
Boost is not the sole representation of power tho - software programming means alot - which is why many people consider the Neuspeed a "softer" chip. Neuspeed does say they have not made theis as aggressive as other brands because they want to cater to those buyers who are concerned about the added stress that gets put on the 1.8t engine.
That said, I have ridden in a 1.8 with a Neuspeed and it felt good - more like the smooth APR chip than my GIAC.

I wanted to get Revo for the Audi, but it wasn't available. The Revo on my GTI is awesome, and with the SPS3, I can tune boost and timing. However, I am a fan of Neuspeed because it's a great company. And, the price was untouchable!

Should Revo get around to writing software for my ECU, I may consider getting it done, even if it is more. But, in the meantime, the Neuspeed chip is great.

(I should mention that the A4 is my wife's car and I wanted more power without her complaining about driveability. She is afraid to drive my GTI! )
