Exclamation New to Audi and Need Help

Hello everyone!! I am new to the Audi ownership. I just recently acquired the car from a buddy. So, to get to the point. It is a 2001 A4 B5 2.8. I have no functionality of my windows, door locks, or power mirrors. Things that I have done to possibly solve the problem; replace modular in the right rear section of the trunk that is called the comfort control modular. I have checked the wires in the door jams for any grounded out or exposed sections of wires. The motor has been replaced the guides have been replaced and the regulator as well. I even went as far to order new individual switches for the master switch.i even lifted the carpet on drive side to check for a module and there was not one. I have just recently had to sell my check due to finical issues and I need the help so I will be able to drive my kids around when need be. I really appreciate anyone's suggestions and knowledge.

Have you checked the fuses? Also if you take the door card off maybe the wiring harnesses has not be inserted in to the door card?

I have tried to track down fuses but I can't find any diagram that shows a proper power window fuse or even what fuse box it could be on. The harness and all connectors have been ran and connected as they should be. I recently replaced a part that is located in the right corner of the trunk that has 3 connectors and what look like two vaccumm lines.

Are you 100% sure the replacement central locking pump was working? Have you tried fuse 6? Fuse panel is to the left of the dash when you open the door. There is a panel that you pop off.

So the part replaced was the central locking pump? I had no idea what it was called. All I have been able to read on is about the comfort control modular and I have yet been able to find or figure out where to look. I have just been trying everything to get it figured out. An yes fuse 6 is not blown. I went through and probed each fuse in the panel as well. They all receive power when power is sent. The only thing I have not yet done is pull up schematic to race and prob wires.

The central locking pump is the equivalent to the comfort control module that the B6’s refer to under the driver’s floor carpet. Where did you get the pump from and are you sure it is working?

Gotcha. The pump came with car when I purchased it. I was told it would need to be replaced because the oem one had extensive corrosion. I am going to assume that it is working (have not verified through electrical testing) because if I leave it unplugged and try to start the vehicle it will not start, but when I do plug the central locking pump back up the vehicle will start. Is it something that will need be to reprogrammed in order to have full function?

I really appreciate all the feedback.

Ya there are three plugs into that unit and the starting circuit may not be linked to the windows or the door locks. The unit only needs to have the key fobs reprogrammed to the new one and everything should work once it’s plugged in. So you’ve tried both units and both react the same? Have you scanned for codes?

Both units do not work. But I do have an appointment with a local shop that does reprograms for that year Audi. I don't believe I have the ability to check for the proper codes. I am hoping at the shop they will be able to read the codes and have a solution. I really appreciate the help and the advice cybersombosis. The biggest problem I had was identifying what the central locking pump was called. After you gave me proper term it made it easier to find a shop to help out.

Makes sure to keep those old units. The graphite disks inside tend to explode when the vanes get too short and jam against the disk and side wall. Been through about 4 or 5 of them between 4 B5’s. It’s just a matter of time.
