Just purchased a 1998 A4 1.8Q manual. Best car I have ever owned. Picked it up outside of Madison, WI and drove it to Chicago(171mi.). One of the best drives of my life! It has no problems with sludge, exhaust, or wheel bearings. Drives great! Happy to be on this forum and anything anyone could tell me would be useful. I'm looking to have my timing belt replaced as well. Thanks!

very nice. well first tip is to get rid of that quattro badge in the front there. and second is put up more pix. and third what are your plans?

 

Thanks! Little short on cash after the purchase. Looking tochange timing belt(was done about 60, 000mi ago, 116,000 on it now), take the radio out of safe mode, and clean up some scratches for now. Also will need a new clutch soon. As far as the future I'm still not sure, any recommendations? This will be my daily driver.
