Default New Oil pan

i need some quick advice, i just got a new oil pan and i called in to the dealership and they said that for the 1998 audi a4 2.8 quattros you only need silicone sealant for the new oil pan and there's no gasket. so when i took off the old oil pan i noticed that the only one did have a gasket, do i need to order one since it didnt come with the new oil pan or do i just use silicone?

I think you should buy another gasket.

you need a new gasket, more than likly youll ruin it taking everything out, its a light metal gasket that mashes to create a seal and is a pain to take out without bending it.
