So i have brought my car to the mechanic, i have been having this issue with my car, the acceleration have been really sluggish, also i hear a noise coming from under the car kinda like a drill, above 2000 rpms does this also when car is in park. also the acceleration problem feels like im starting in second gear? only sometimes when i come from a complete start. i have it at a mechanic right now and he says its a valve body for the transmission, and the charge for it is $970 to replace with used valve body, and change trans oil with filter and gasket, do you guys have any input before i try this repair, or may it be something else. really appreciate your help its a 2001 audi 1.8t 68,000miles

 

it could be cuz your turbo is blown. i think you are getting charged out the rear end on this job if he's using a used valve body
