The lutch pedal is a little high but thats how it has always been.
Well if it was a boost leak, wouldn't it do it every time I boost?

Have you owned the car since it was new or did you buy it used? Because only a organic clutch is going to have a smell to it. It could also be that the flywheel is now glazed causing it to slip more often but not all the time.

Best test is to drive at around 30-50 mph in 5th gear at low rpms and go WOT. This puts more load on the clutch and more tq from the motor. If it slips then the clutch is about done.

Only the stock clutch will engage very high on the pedal. Most of the aftermarket clutch kits engage much lower because the pressure plates have a much higher clamping load, this means more pressure is needed to release the disk.

If you need a clutch I offer both South Bend and Clutch Masters clutch kits, can also get Spec for thats that want it. www.Ringer-Racing.com. If you have any questions about clutch kits feel free to ask any time. Info@ringer-racing.com

I went SouthBend S3 from Mike. I have yet to install it (gr!), but Mike and DTH are always a pleasure to work with.
