Default No interior lights at all

Just got done diagnosing a problem with my auxillary cooling fan and when I got everything put back together I find I have 0, as in none, interior lights. I ran a complete VCDS and here are the results.

01367 Central locking pump run time exceeded, likely leak

01371 Alarm triggered by door contact switch driver's side

01374 Alarm triggered by terminal 15

01370 Alarm triggered by interior monitoring

00991 Interior lights

00955 Key 1 adaptation limit surpassed

00956 Key 2 adaptation limit surpassed.

The odd thing is this same test was run last week while looking for a solution to the cooling fan problem and produced the same results but nothing changed until today.

The central locks still work just fine although I can hear the pump very well.

Any ideas on where to start? I can access the pump easily since this is an Avant.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I think you have more than one problem, but I'd start by just unplugging the driver's door switch. If the system thinks that door never shuts, it's going to time-out and shut off the interior lights.

Can you please school me on where to find that switch?

Yea you're probably looking for some little plunger thing in the door jamb. It's actually two little microswitches built into the door latch. You have to take off the door panel and you'll see a little plug at the door latch.

Default door switch

Thanks, I'll go take a look here in a beer or 2. That should make it easier to find.

The folks at your local AA chapter would disaagree, but they've never worked on an Audi have they?

No they have not! Plus AA if for alcoholics and I'm just a drunk. The difference is I don't have to go to those meetings all the time.

Okay, no plunger switches on either front door or the tailgate. However there are plunger switches on the passenger, rear, doors. It's an Avant BTW.

I'm confused but guess I'll pull the central locking system pump gizzo and see what's in there.

Red face Fuse # 14 fell out DOH

Now I fell pretty stupid. I went to re-check the fuses and sure enough # 14 was missing. It must have fallen out while I was working around there. Problem solved and thanks for the input.
