Default No oil!!!!

Recently installed a new head on a car that was bought with a bad head. Installed new head, did a test startup and it was noisy. Shut car off, looked in oil filler cap and it looked dry. Disconnected oil cooler after a few more test starts and barely anything. Car has brand new oil in it but only old crappy oil came out of the oil cooler. Oil pump go bad after sitting? Any thing that I can take apart and clean to check if there is a blockage other than the oil pump? Ran car 1m with oil lines disconnected and nothing.

Early 99 1.8T A/T AEB

Thanks,
Floppy

I seriously hope this is a joke.... running the engine like that was a very bad idea... if the old oil was very dirty it wouldn't be impossible for the new oil to look dirty. Though the engine could very likely be slugged up and need some work to fix that.

The first thing i would have thought about is why the old head blew???? Ever think that the car had a serious sludge problem? Oil pick up tube sounds like its clogged to hell. Why would you attempt to run the engine without oil lines connected? Your turbo will thank you for that one among many other things.

3 threads on the same problem... People are trying to help you and you decided you needed to insult a member in one of the threads. Sorry that it's impossible to accurately diagnose a car over the internet. Find a mechanic and let them fix it since you don't seem to know what your doing. Likely you need to rebuild the engine.
