i just had my friends dad (a mechanic) listen and take a look. he told me to change the oil to a thicker one that wil increase pressure. he also told me to cut the filter open and look for any metal inside. im going to do this tomorrow, he says it might be the oil pump not working but i don't know for sure. i think im royally screwed on this i have only had tis car since december and now i cant drive the damn thing. so if anyone has had this problem or knows about it send me a pm or reply to this please

STOP RUNNING THE ENGINE NOW!!! 2.8L engines don't normally suffer from sludge but its possible. How do you know that there is no oil pressure? Did you check it? Putting in heavier oil is not gonna get more pressure out of the engine, on the 2.8 i would say its a bad oil pump.
