Default no spark and no fuel out of injectors

I have a no spark and also do not have fuel coming out of the injectors. I have fuel to the injectors. I also have a brand new coil. Will a power output stage (ignition amp) or a Engine Speed sensor cause this condition? I have checked most of the wiring and have a new ECM which I can hook up my vag-com to. No codes on the Vag-Com. When I have the vag-com hookup should it show the rpm of the engine due to the rotation of the starter?

It may depend on ECM, but there should be revolutions showing on startup. Lowest VAG COM reading IIRC is 40rpm and the starter turns the crank faster than that.

What year and engine? Are you immobilised?

1997 V6 (12 valve). I do not believe there is an immobilizer on it. At least Vag Com can't find that module

Try putting a scope directly on the wires for the crankshaft position sensor at the connector at the ECM. If you get a signal, you may have an ECM issue.

Do you have 12V at the injectors when you ground them?

Will the engine speed sensor cause this issue?

Yes I get 12v at the injectors when I ground them. Figure it is either the crank position sensor or the engine speed sensor. How do you hook the scope up?

What engine speed sensor are you talking about?

You have a crankshaft position sensor and a camshaft position sensor. Do you have signal from either of those to your ECM? Hook a DVOM or scope up to the two wires coming from the sensors to the ECM. Back probe the two signal wires to each sensor. You'll need a wiring diagram to determine the wires at the connector.

There is an engine speed sensor on the same routing (although only two cabless) as the Crank position sensor. I would guess that with the cam and crank sensors that the ECU would still need to know the engine speed to accurately produce ignition. Is this correct or am I way off? I will get results on the crank and speed sensors today. I have already replaced the cam sensor and it works.
