Default No turbo, restart car.... TURBO!!! WTF????

Hi guys,

Sorry for posting in the B5 forum but no one is answering on the B6.... It seems very, how can I say it, DEAD techwise in the B6 forum since the separation.

Well like it says. I was driving with no turbo yesterday and as soon as I noticed the car had NO GUTS whatsoever I caught a red light and shut the car down. Upon Restart, I get the turbo back and everything is fine. There were no CEL's and no warnings whatsoever. The car is not making any funny noises so I'm abit confused. Can anyone help me please?????

Cheers and thanks

We will try to get a tech savy B6-er on the job for you guys in that section. But there is no rule that says you can't post in the B5 section. You were in limp mode. Get your ecu scanned for fault codes and post em. You don't always get a CEL when you go limp

Is your car chipped? Got a boost gauge? If so you would have seen max 5psi ish in limp.

What can be done about limp mode with no codes? Im runnin about 5psi in my b5 with new k03, maf, dv, and n75. Computer is still tellin maf to tell n75 to stay open 40%?

40%? Where did you get that? and.. Huh?

If there are no codes, there is no limp mode. 5-8psi is normal for a stock 97-99 b5. A chipped car that normally boosts 15psi+ will see max 5psi in limp mode. If that was an attempt to get help, it would help us help you if you mention things like the year and modifications done if any.
