Default No turn signals

Problem: intermittent functioning of turn signals. the bulbs light up when turned on with the headlight switch, just not all the time when turn on with blinker switch.

I searched and found this: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/diy-do-yourself-55/replacing-turn-signal-relay-dudley-doright-17621/ but it doesn't have any pics that seem to be very helpful. Could someone please help me out here as I hate being that guy that seems to just be driving and not giving a rip because I'm not signaling.

Sounds like a relay to me, that DIY guide seems pretty accurate apart from not having pictures. My relays are behind the fuse panel behind the lower part of the dashboard on the driver's side. Not too tough to get too if you're patientt. If i were you i'd just try the DIY w/o the pics. GL!

As CC said replace the hazard relay switch. It contains both the relay for hazards and blinkers. I did mine and followed the DudleyDoright DIY you linked and it was the easiest thing I've done on this car. 10 minutes tops. It says not to use a screwdriver but I used a very small one and worked fine, just be careful not to break the tabs on the back of the trim. When thats off pull the switch out and unplug and plug in th e new one and pop the trim back on and you have blinkers again. Good luck.

Ok so ignore my question about wwhere its located...dumb question heh. I found it and pulled it out, and tested my blinkers. They would pause after about 3 flashes, so I gave the relay box a little twap and the blinker would work like normal. They still pause, but everytime I smack the relay box they work.

Is there anyway I could get them always working, or is that just a sign that my relay is on its way out.
