Sup audiforum. i got my audi a4 2.8l today. unfortunately its not a quattro but i picked it up because it has some chip boosting it from 190hp to 210hp . its dropped with the s4 suspension and has some kinda aftermarket exhaust but without that deep tone, i think it needs that thing removed, sorry im not so technical with the parts but this is my first audi so ill be learning more about it day by day... and another thing, dude that sold it told me the engine is different, this is a 2.8l 5v.. dunno much about this but yeah.... ill have better pics up soon...

 

are you sure that this is an s4 suspension, i dint think that s4 was that low

You said it has a "chip boosting it...." You do know the 2.8 isn't turbocharged or supercharged. It has a naturally aspirated V6 making 190 HP stock. The chip making +20 HP seems to be a little bogus. It makes more sense if the chip adds 10HP or less.

And the 2.8 5V just pretty much means you have the 30V instead of the older 12V that came with the 1996 2.8's.

 

speedtuning chip? does that really work and add 10hp? i may have to get one...

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah I'll have to get the exact specs on that chip. And krip thanks for clearing that up for me, I would have been disappointed if it was the 12v, I'd seen too many Audis get smoked by civics and was like WTF . Oh and another things it's got a strange but cool clutch, maybe it's standard I don't know but to go in reverse I have to press down on the shift stick to pop it in reverse.

 

yea thats stock in the prefacelift cars (before 99.5) to have the push down reverse.. ive got a short shifter in mine and it removes that option for the push down so now its just over to the right and down.. welcome to the forums.. car looks clean.. not a fan of that spoiler or how low that exhaust seems to hang but maybe its just the picture.. but you got a good start.. youll find your own nitch as to how to change the look of your car.. do some looking around on here at some of the other members ride and get some ideas..

 

You do realize this is an "Audi" forum...right? Anyways uhh yeah... One thing about my exhaust is that I think they didn't remove the resonator (excuse me if I'm wrong) I don't mind the exhaust being quiet but I do love the tone the v6 pumps out ... How many people here like that not too loud exhaust tone?
