I gotta rant a little bit. Im on my 3rd condenser or 4th condenser now. The last time I replaced it was beginning of this summer. Luckily its cold now, but today I go to turn it on to defog my windows and no click, no engine rpm drop. Sure enough green **** on the front of the condenser again with an open A/C switch code. God damnitt. Two of the times Ive had this replaced, its covered under warranty. Sounds great right? Well I still have to pay the 130 bux to get it filled, and if I wanna do it by the book, replace the dryer and/or restrictor (orafice tube), and get new o-rings for the lines I take off. So 300 bux and counting in just filling in about a year (and thats this year). Get this, I cut up a screen (the kind on a screen door), and covered all of the grills with it, and it still happens. So Im wondering what the heck is the problem, am I really taking rock after rock, or is it getting overfilled or is the condenser a POS? Any thoughts. I need A/C in the summer with hot and humid summers (in MN), and to dry the air in the fall and the spring.
