Default OBD adapter and vag-com

Hi guys! I recently acquired today my 01 a4 b5 1.8t! Ive been reading this forum and its a wonderful one with all kind of diy. I had one question though. My car does not have the remote window thing were you open them with the remote. My father has this Craftsman CanOBD2 Diagnostic Tool which I can connect it to a pc. Can I use that in conjunction with the vag-com software in order to enable this feature? or do I have to buy a compatible one.
Thanks everyone.

I believe there is a difference between the quattro/ fwd and the auto/ manual exhaust systems out there. Keep in mind, they are not truely turbo- back, they are actually cat-back. But, that's what they invented test pipes for!

APR is a good, well known brand. I went with NeuSpeed because it was the cheapest cat-back I could find, and I am 100% satisfied with it.
