Default Odd boost issue

Car- 2001.5 Audi A4 1.8t stock K03s, uni stage 1 tune, 3in test pipe,2.5 custom exhaust

Problem- The car will boost 20psi when cold but seems once it gets warm it will boost between 5-10psi. I can pull over and turn the car off, scan it with my code reader and get the code for the test pipe. Ill clear it and will boost fine again for about 5-8min then back to 5-10psi.

There are a few times ill hit 20psi, catch a red light and when it turns green will only boost 5-10psi. Then i can get another red like and once it turns green, im back at 20psi.

Does this sound like a boost leak? I am NOT running a FMIC, so i know its not a leak in the IC pipes.

ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED! THANKS

Mine is a 2000 A4 1.8t and I had some similar issue a while ago, when I was giving one hell of a ride to my car, boost was fine at 20-22 psi until suddenly it dropped to 5-10 psi. At fist I taught of the stock intercooler was to hot until one day when it happen, I just put the car in neutral while driving, stop the engine and start it back again ( without stopping the car ) and Bang, boost was bak to 20-22 psi !!!??? Since then I've made a lot of maintenance on the car ( cleaned the cat, change spark plugs and coils, change some o2 sensor, injectors got cleaned and some other stuff ) and the issue went away ... sorry but I have no idea what part of the maintenance I did solve this issue but something did ... hope it help

your getting a code for the testpipe? as in the o2 sensor?

try getting 2 non fouler adapters to make the sensor not stick in so much so you wont throw a code

Yes, if the reason for the limp is something like extremely high IAT's and it cools off.

If you're getting a code for cat efficiency, the car shouldn't go into limp mode. If you're getting primary O2 codes, you have something more going on.
