So let us assume you have been cheated.
U will have to check the law but in the UK: It's not illegal to 'clock' a car nor is it illegal to sell a 'clocked' car. It is only illegal to sell a 'clocked' car without informing the new owner. 'He' (not sure who he is at this stage) could argue that he did inform you. Your word against his.
But of course you must find out FIRST who did the original clocking, and then find out if that information was then past on to all subsequent owners. U are the last in the chain.
You must do some serious 'leg-work' before presenting your case (if u have one) to either the police or to ur legal representative.
