Default Oh, Tuesday.

I was on my way to school this morning and stopped at a red light when I looked up in time to see a big moving van backing up on top of me. There's really no damage other than a couple of scratches which I verified with my mechanic before accepting $200 cash from the driver of the truck. My mechanic will repair it for the cost of supplies (~$25).

The rest of the money looks an awful lot like a new Magnaflow muffler, but instead I think it'll be a new radiator fan (which I diagnosed as the source of the sound described in my previous thread...thanks a bunch guys [>:]) and a new ABS module or pump or whatever ends up fixing the ooze of brake fluid on the module (does anyone know if that's a repair or a replacement deal?) and an intake.

Also, I have new engine and transmission mounts on the way. We'll be running like a champ!

Hmm... I doubt your abs module is leaking. Is it right off the lines on top of the pump? But if it is then I know its pretty expensive to replace and I wouldn't know where they repair them. I know modulemaster will repair a malfunctioning module but I dunno bout mechanically. I think I need a fan too [:@]

The mechanic is a good friend of mine () and I called to let him know we were coming. At first, he quoted the guy $300, but after some back and forth, we settled on $200. His insurance deductible alone would have been more than twice that, so I think it all worked out especially since I'll now be able to take care of some other issues.

It seems like it's oozing from the top AND sides. I'd need to give it a good cleaning in order to tell exactly where the seepage is coming from, but if I have to replace the whole unit regardless, I might as well just get the damn thing. Does anyone know? Is it worth investigating or is any oozing at all a sign that the whole thing should be replaced?
