Default Oil in IC pipe and idling problem...

Hey guys!

I had finished my Timing Belt service and decided to randomly take off the metal inter-cooler pipe (running from turbo to inter-cooler) and to my surprise drops of oil came out of it when I detached it from the I-C hose, same thing on the other side...

What's strange is that I don't seem to be burning oil as there is no white smoke coming out of my exhaust (In case that not all oils burn like that, I use Mobil 1 0W-40 Full Synth.), anyway, it appears all the oil might be caught by the inter-cooler as I only found traces at the Throttle Body... However, the weird thing is that right before I serviced the belts, my car doesn't hold throttle, for example, it all seems to start normal but when I rev up the engine it cuts off the throttle by itself and goes down to pretty much 0RPM only to catch itself and starts idling normal again... If I leave it on for more than 10 minutes or so it will start doing this again and again on its own: idle normal, die down, catch itself, idle normal, and so on, constantly.

I don't know if that is related to the oil "drowning" the engine, or something else like a vacuum leak... Either way I'm baffled and seek the advice of my fellow B5ers here... Where do you guys think the leak is from? And why is my car doing that?

I should also mention my turbo is a K03 and pretty much new, had it replaced (new) about a year ago and has no more than 15,000 miles.

Thank you so much, you guys have been awesome to me!

A little oil in the charge piping is normal. Most of it comes from the PCV system. It will build up over time and collect in the low parts of the charge system.

The erratic idle is nothing unsual either. It could be caused by a whole bunch of things. Try scanning the car to see if there are any codes that could point you in the right direction.

I can't move the car anywhere at the moment (no P/S and that idling problem makes it undrivable) how can I get to scan it?

Search here and ask someone to come by and do a scan for you.
