got a 98 A4, i need to replace the oil pan, does anyone have any tips i should know about and where i would be able to get a good deal on a new pan and i guess an oil pump too.

you need to either drop the subframe or raise the engine to get to the oil pan. if its a 1.8t your talking about here, i have no idea. its really an important piece of information which engine you have when your asking a question about the engine. if you drop the subframe you will need a realignment after.
